Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how BUDGIX handles your information.
1. Data Collection and Storage
BUDGIX does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or financial information to external servers or third parties. All data — including budgets, transactions, and related user input — is stored locally on your Mac.
2. Cloud Sync (Future Feature)
BUDGIX does not currently use Apple’s iCloud service. However, a future version of the app may offer optional iCloud sync to allow secure data access across your Apple devices. If enabled, your data will be handled exclusively through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure. The developer will have no access to your iCloud data.
3. Diagnostic and Usage Data
BUDGIX does not use third-party analytics or tracking tools. However, the app may log certain events locally using Apple’s OSLog system to help diagnose issues and improve stability. These logs are stored only on your device and are never transmitted unless you explicitly share them during support requests.
In addition, if you have opted in to share app analytics with developers through Apple system settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregate data such as crash reports and general usage patterns. This data helps us understand how the app is used and prioritize future improvements. No personally identifiable information is included in this data.
4. Third-Party Services
BUDGIX does not integrate with any third-party analytics providers, advertising networks, tracking tools, or external SDKs.
5. Device Permissions
BUDGIX may request access to certain macOS system features such as file access or folders selected by you. These are required to support specific features (e.g., importing bank files) and are used only for the purpose explicitly intended. No data accessed through these permissions is transmitted or logged.
6. Support Communication
If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, screenshots, or other details you voluntarily provide. This information will be used solely to respond to your inquiry and will not be retained, analyzed, or shared with third parties.
7. Children’s Privacy
BUDGIX is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or store information from children.
8. Data Security
All local data is stored securely using Apple’s file system protections and macOS sandboxing. However, the security of your device and your data backups remains your responsibility.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Significant changes will be noted in the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
